The grand opening, which starts today, includes three days of live music and free coffee. This is the third and newest shop by the Subculture Coffee group which has locations on Clematis Street in West Palm and another location on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. “It’s really encouraging. As a business owner, you want your product to stand on its own,” says Sean Scott, Subculture co-owner and coffee roaster. Scott describes the response to his coffee and concept as a kind of “gravitational, community pull.” Will the Jupiter community warm up to Subculture’s newest spot? We think so!

BY: Corvaya Jeffries- Aug. 23rd There was a vacant space at Harbourside Place in Jupiter. But not anymore. Subculture Coffee, the hipster hangout that recently expanded to a quaint, 1300 square ft space in Delray Beach in July and is already a staple in West Palm Beach,  is now expanding to North County.
According to Harbourside Place’s management office, the opening is in its beginning stages.
The closest cup of joe near its “Coming Soon” location is across the way at Another Broken Egg or the Starbucks off of East Indiantown Road. And for a premium coffee experience similar to what you’ll get at Subculture, there’s Oceana Coffeeon US 1, just off West Indiantown Road.

While Subculture is known for its delicious coffees roasted onsite, will the brand be able to bring its hipster vibes to a suburban shopping center?

Alex Cano, 24, of Jupiter said “possibly.”

“There’s a Starbucks around here, but no unique or local coffee brand so I can see them attracting a different crowd. That would be cool for this area,” he said.

What do you think?

Will the coffee shop become North County’s go-to for coffee, cold-pressed juices and community chilling? Is it the right fit for Harbourside Place?
